another view of my hand-creature puppet. At this stage it's made out of solid clay with a bit of twisted wire for an armature and secured to a rolled up coke can. Stupidly I put a softer, water-based clay over a harder oil-based clay with the mad thought in my mind that the softer clay would be easier to detail. I had to practically re-sculpt the surface, freaking out each time it got bumped or scratched 'cause I'd have to smooth it out again.
